Drilling Operations Manager

Mr. Christophides joined Viking International in March 2011 as Drilling Operations Manager.  He has division-wide responsibility for all International drilling-related activities and is tasked with developing and maintaining a best-in-class drilling operation, ensuring that all wells are drilled and completed in a safe, cost-effective, timely, and an environmentally responsible manner. Mr. Christophides is a career drilling operations manager with 40 years oilfield experience working for IOCs and national oil companies throughout MENA and South America. During this period, he has managed all aspects of land and offshore operations including, exploration, drilling, workover, logging, coil-tubing, underbalanced drilling, completions, testing, acid stimulation, casing and cementing operations. From 1998 to 2010, Mr. Christophides was employed by Nabors International where he held multiple operations management roles including, Offshore Operations Manager for Nabors Saudi Arabia since 2007. Most recently, Mr. Christophides was the Director of Operations for Burgan Drilling Company in Kuwait with full responsibility for drilling and workover operations for 41 land rigs.
